When the heat and the good weather arrive, there’s nothing like an ice cream to refresh you, recover your energy and treat yourself to a sweet (or even savoury!) treat. That’s why we suggest this simple route of artisan ice cream parlours between Sóller and Playa de Muro, with three establishments that will delight the young and old in the family.
Plaça del mercat, s/n – Sóller
Located in the centre of Sóller, this young ice-cream parlour has become a point of reference for all lovers of Mallorcan home-made ice-creams. Opened in 1994, it stands out for the quality of its raw materials and for making its ice creams in the traditional way, without colourings or artificial flavourings, and with natural milk instead of powdered milk. Its ice creams bear the “Fet a Sóller” seal and have a wide range of more than 40 flavours, including orange ice cream, the town’s star product.
Passeig Maritim, 32 – Puerto de Alcudia
Carrer del Moll, 27 – Alcudia
Passeig Anglada Camarassa, 7 – Puerto de Pollensa
With several ice cream parlours located between the ports of Pollensa and Alcudia, Helados Garrido has more than 4 decades of experience. Its most emblematic establishment, located on the Paseo Marítimo in Puerto de Alcudia, offers 100% natural ice creams made by themselves, and a wide range of drinks, ice cream dishes, slushies and milkshakes. If we had to choose just one, we wouldn’t be able to, so we recommend two: the yoghurt ice cream and the ice cream spaghetti dish with vanilla and cream. Delicious!
Avenida de s’Albufera, 8 – Playa de Muro
With almost 100 years of history, Gelats Valls is a benchmark for handmade ice cream in Mallorca, as they have their own workshop where they make their products 100% naturally. On their menu you will find numerous seasonal ice creams, as they add new flavours depending on the season, offering specialities such as apricot or fig ice creams, or citrus ice creams picked on their own farm. A piece of Mallorcan history directly on your palate.
